Then, they sent me an email. "We're sorry..." I hate emails that start that way. Apparently, my items wouldn't arrive until December 28. So much for all my deals! So I had to cancel the order and get to Borders. No four-for-three deals. Granted, no shipping, but I had to pay for the gas to get there - and back. And since we live out in the middle of nowhere, it wasn't negligible.
Plus the cost of the migraine from driving in holiday traffic.

Sigh. Can you say "irony," boys and girls? I knew you could...
So in the spirit of giving, I thought I'd share it here. In case you have book shopping left to do. Merry Christmas!

I did quite a bit of book shopping this holiday season. Sadly, every time I went with a coupon, the minute I got home, there was a better coupon waiting for me - I use a 20%, a 30% shows up; I hold out and wait for a 30% coupon, and when I get home a 40% shows up. So annoying!
Sweet! Thanks for sharing! I do still have to go there tomorrow.
I hate it when that happens. I have two packages that were supposed to be here days ago but they are USPS and I am SURE they won't magically arrive on Monday, ya know? Sucks. At least Amazon let you know.
I could shoot amazon this year! I ordered stuff on Dec 11 (and am a prime member with 2 day shipping) and three shipments all were lost, delayed, whatever. Yesterday I got the original order from 12/11 (FedEx yet! What happened there?) plus its replacment (a day late). I've yet to get an order placed on 12/13 or its replacement and am still waiting on a third (not a gift, thankfully). I went to B&N yesterday (of course before they all got here) and bot the books so I am on my way back to B&N today to return them.
OY OY OY! (different, of course, than JOY JOY JOY! hehe)
Oh well. Such is life, right?
I hope you and your family have a most wonderful Christmas and I'm glad we've become blog buddies!
